Order Receipt Barcode

I would like to include a Barcode which represents the order number on the Order Receipt so that when a store receives an order they can just scan the order number in a POS system to pull up the order. Does anyone have any ideas of how to do this. I know there are some products out there that will create images for barcodes dynamically, but how would I include one into an xml package?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
