Thread: Is (!GOOGLE_ECOM_TRACKING!) still needed in 9.3?

Default Is (!GOOGLE_ECOM_TRACKING!) still needed in 9.3?

We recently upgraded from ML 8.X to MS 9.3. I moved the Google Analytics script code from the bottom of the template.ascx file to the template.master file. After I did this, I noticed that the (!GOOGLE_ECOM_TRACKING!) skin token was actually appearing as a text string at the bottom of my website pages so I commented it out. Does 9.3 even use this skin token anymore, or is there something else I need to do to make sure I am getting ECommerce tracking in GA?

    Thanks,
    David

I use the V2 Ecom tracking skin token on the template. This fires the tracking code into the order confirmation page. If it is commented out then the tracking of the sale won't be captured.

Seems this is handled very differently in 9.x than it was in 8.x. I found this info that describes exactly what needs to be done.
