Wordpress.org blog Buy Now button adds to minicart

Scenario - Wordpress.org blog is hosted on the same domain as a ASPDNSF site. The wordpress blog is using its own MYSQL and PHP database. As they are on the same domain has anyone managed to integrate a Buy Now button so it adds to the customers ajax mini cart without them going "back" to the physical ASPDNSF site?

I will try adding a simple Buy Now code under the product to see if that works but before I test I thought I would see if anyone has done this before.

I tried to use jquery to add it straight to the basket whilst on the blog but it meant adding the minucart to the blogs header and it got a bit messy so simply targetted the add to cart in a new window.
