Can I add Custom Fields without Changing Core

Hello I want to add various custom text fields to my products based on the sku. For example I want to add UPC code and other text fields to be stored on the database.

I want to achieve this without modifying the core aspdotnetstorefront code, does anyone have a module or know how to do this?

Hi,

We have done custom Attribute systems before.

You have areas in the Admin site to both define the attributes and then to set values for the attributes for each Product.

On the front end, the display is built as such that if a Product has no attributes with values, then nothing displays. If a Product only has a few of the attributes set with values, then only those display.

We also have an Excel upload feature for the dynamic attributes.

The solution does not touch source code in any way.

We are going to be packaging this as an add-on but have not done so just yet.
