XPath version

Newbie question: what is the XPath version used in XMLpackages and in case it is version 1 (as I believe it is) how can I chance that so that it can use version 2?

I'm not convinced you can change it.

If you have a specific problem that you're struggling with - why not post it & see if the collected wisdom here can solve it in version 1.

Actually I was able to solve my problem (I wanted to use a Replace function), but at the same time, I was trying to learn and understand how to move to XPath 2.0.
